While Heritage's win against Loudoun County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pride sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Captains on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Pride as they're now sitting on eight straight.

The result came thanks to Mark Van Tuyle's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Heritage saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Van Tuyle, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Heritage's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-11. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Loudoun County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Heritage will face off against Woodgrove at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolverines' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Pride's hitters will have their work cut out for them. Loudoun County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
