Baseball Recap: Father Lopez Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Father Lopez, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. Everything went their way against the Matanzas Pirates on Friday as the Father Lopez Green Wave made off with a 12-2 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Green Wave have posted since April 29, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Kenton Harrison, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Westen Brownlee was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Father Lopez was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in five consecutive matchups.
