Soccer Recap: Pioneer Takes a Loss

If Pioneer was riding high fresh off their 5-0 takedown of Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pioneer Diamondbacks fell just short of the McAllen Bulldogs by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Diamondbacks in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost six in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pioneer fell to 3-1. As for McAllen, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3-2.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Sharyland the next time they take the pitch. McAllen will head out to face Sharyland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Pioneer will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
