Basketball Recap: Idaho City Wildcats vs. North Star Huskies
Idaho City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a 62-43 bruising from the North Star Huskies. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-34 back in December of 2024.
North Star was led to victory by Timothy Baros and Tristan Neumann. Baros went 6 of 9 on his way to 14 points and three steals, while Neumann dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. That's the most points Baros has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Logan Ellis, who posted eight points and ten boards.
Idaho City's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for North Star, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Idaho City will square off against Centennial Baptist at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Star, they will challenge Rimrock at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
