The Johnston Dragons made easy work of the Assumption Knights on Saturday and carried off an 8-2 victory. Considering the Dragons have won six games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Johnston is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Assumption, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7-1.

Looking ahead, Johnston will challenge Ankeny at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Assumption has already played their next match (against Waterloo West), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
