Basketball Game Preview: Hot Springs Bison vs. Custer Wildcats

The Hot Springs Bison will venture away from home to face off against the Custer Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hot Springs has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Thursday, Hot Springs didn't have quite enough to beat Mahpiya Luta and fell 50-48.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Custer, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They blew past Lead-Deadwood 74-51 on Thursday. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Custer's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points over those games. As for Hot Springs, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

Hot Springs was dealt a bruising 68-32 defeat at the hands of Custer when the teams last played on February 6th. Can Hot Springs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
