Baseball Game Preview: Millry Wildcats vs. Leroy Bears

Millry is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Leroy is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. Millry will host Leroy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Millry 2.6, Leroy 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Millry is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Satsuma just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Gators by a score of 4-3.

Meanwhile, Leroy got the win against Coosa Christian on Tuesday by a conclusive 9-2. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Leroy's win bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Millry, their loss dropped their record down to 13-3.

Millry couldn't quite get it done against Leroy when the teams last played back in March of 2024 as they fell 8-3. Can Millry avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
