Volleyball Game Preview: Piper Bengals vs. McArthur Mustangs + How To Watch

The Piper Bengals will venture away from home to challenge the McArthur Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Piper will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Piper narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Fort Lauderdale 3-2.

Piper wouldn't go down easily and took Fort Lauderdale into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18, 17-25, 24-26, 18-16.

Meanwhile, McArthur didn't have quite enough to beat Hollywood Hills on Thursday and fell 3-2. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

McArthur started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 16-25, 25-21, 25-18, 15-9.

McArthur's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Piper, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.

Piper suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to McArthur when the teams last played back in September of 2022. Can the Bengals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
