Football Game Preview: Richwood Rams vs. Sterlington Panthers

Richwood is 1-8 against Sterlington since November of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Rams will face off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Richwood has given up an average of 31.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Richwood is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They lost 54-30 to Tioga two weeks ago. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Indians are ranked 49th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Sterlington challenged Neville on Friday. The Panthers took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Richwood will have to contain J-Rob Breen as he made an impact in Sterlington's last game. He threw for 149 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 62 yards.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 3-2. As for Richwood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Richwood was taken down by Sterlington 34-6 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
