Softball Preview: Granbury Pirates vs. Azle Hornets
The Granbury Pirates will head out to face off against the Azle Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Granbury took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Saginaw by a score of 4-1. The victory was some much needed relief for the Pirates as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
The team relied heavily on Preslee Carnes, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Morgan Johnson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
