Volleyball Game Preview: Huron Tigers vs. Eastwood Eagles

After both having extra time off, the Huron Tigers and the Eastwood Eagles will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Huron sitting on eight straight victories and Eastwood on three.

Huron is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They put the hurt on Archbold with a sharp 3-0 win.

Huron never let Archbold on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 26-24, 25-16.

Huron's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Adelyn Van Sickle, who had 13 digs and two aces. Van Sickle has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Ottawa-Glandorf typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Eastwood proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Titans, sneaking past 3-2.

Eastwood's victory bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Huron, their win bumped their record up to 20-5.

Huron took their victory against Eastwood when the teams last played back in October of 2020 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
