Volleyball Recap: Carlsbad Takes a Loss

If Carlsbad was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Canyon Crest Academy on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lancers came up short against the Christian Patriots on Thursday, falling 3-0.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-22, 29-27.

Carlsbad's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Carlsbad has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Rancho Buena Vista on the 26th. As for Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against La Jolla Country Day on the 22nd.
