Calallen has gone a perfect 5-0 against Santa Gertrudis Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Calallen Wildcats duke it out with Santa Gertrudis Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Calallen 1.9, Santa Gertrudis Academy 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Last Friday, Calallen made easy work of Veterans Memorial and carried off a 9-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Bianca Gonzales looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Brookelynn Meador and Kaylie Lopez did most of the damage at the plate: Meador went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double, while Lopez went 2-for-3 with one home run and one triple. That triple marked the first that Lopez hit this season. Another player making a difference was Kris Leal, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Calallen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Veterans Memorial only posted a batting average of .115.
Meanwhile, Santa Gertrudis Academy waltzed into their game on Friday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Flyers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lions have posted since February 13th.
Calallen's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Santa Gertrudis Academy, their record is now 15-4.
