Baseball Recap: Myers Park's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Myers Park can now relate to. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cuthbertson Cavaliers on Tuesday. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

Myers Park got a good showing from Henry Bauer, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, Bauer didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April.

Myers Park's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-8. As for Cuthbertson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.

Myers Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cuthbertson, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against West Forsyth at 6:30 p.m. The Cavaliers are on a four-game streak of home wins, the Titans a nine-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
