Mellen had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Mellen pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Hurley, they moved to 4-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
