Volleyball Game Preview: Riverton Parke Panthers vs. Southmont Mounties

The Riverton Parke Panthers will take on the Southmont Mounties at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southmont took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Riverton Parke, who comes in off a win.

Southmont will be up against a hot Riverton Parke squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went the Panthers' way against Fountain Central on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Riverton Parke not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Fountain Central between 18 and 21 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Southmont came up short against Seeger on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mounties have suffered against the Patriots since October 5, 2021.

While Southmont was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-23, 25-15.

Southmont's defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-13. As for Riverton Parke, their win bumped their record up to 23-5.
