Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Washington). They took their match on Saturday with ease, bagging a 71-28 victory over the Tell City Marksmen. The win was nothing new for the Hatchets as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Washington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kenna Garland, who went 8 for 9 on her way to 21 points. Those 21 points gave Garland a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Gilley, who went 6 of 7 on her way to 13 points and three steals.

Washington was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Washington's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Tell City, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Washington will take on Forest Park in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tell City, they will head out to square off against Tecumseh at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
