Football Recap: West Lafayette Takes a Loss

West Lafayette came into this matchup off a tough 25-point loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Lebanon Tigers by a score of 37-34 on Friday. The Red Devils just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row dating back to last season.

When it comes to explaining why West Lafayette lost, don't look at Kojo Steffey. Despite the final result, he rushed for 126 yards and three scores, and also picked up 59 receiving yards. Blake Biddle was in the mix too, providing the Red Devils with two TDs.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lebanon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josh Parks, who rushed for 183 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Chris Hill, who threw for 180 yards and two TDs while completing 79.2% of his passes.

West Lafayette's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lebanon, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, West Lafayette will face off against Rensselaer Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lebanon, they will take on Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
