Baseball Recap: Valley Christian Comes Up Short

Valley Christian and Junipero Serra squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Valley Christian had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Padres by a score of 3-2. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Padres earlier this season, when they won 10-4.

Valley Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brock Ketelsen, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Valley Christian's loss dropped their record down to 25-7-1. As for Junipero Serra, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season.

Valley Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 defeat against St. Mary's on the 3rd. As for Junipero Serra, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against College Park on the 3rd.
