Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial waltzed into their game on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Ray Texans get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Jordan Garza made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
