Glasgow extended their losing streak  to seven  on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 1-16 in the process. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  an   8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Henry Clay Blue Devils. On the bright side, the seven- run  effort marked the Scotties' highest-scoring  contest to date.
  Sydney Kuykendall was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.  Shallen Fields was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs.
As for Henry Clay,  with the  victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win they have posted  since March 18th.
 On Henry Clay's side,  Elise Pearson and  Kyndal Brewster did most of the damage at the plate:  Pearson  went 3-for-4 with two  runs and one  triple, while  Brewster  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  RBI and one  run. Those  three  RBI gave  Brewster a new career-high.  Adrianna Harris also deserves some recognition as  she  brought in her first  RBI of the season.
 Coincidentally, Glasgow and Henry Clay will both be playing Todd County Central the next time they take the field. The Blue Devils will head out to face the Rebels at 2:00  p.m.  on Saturday, while the Scotties will play them later in the day, at 4:00  p.m.
