Athens Drive had lost 11 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 3-9 to make it 12. They came up short against the Rolesville Rams, falling 18-2. The Jaguars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rams from their previous meeting back in March of 2022.

Cora Driscoll made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
As for Rolesville, their record now sits at 5-9. That 16-run margin sets a new team best for them this season.
On Rolesville's side, Sophia Owino made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Owino was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gianna D'Antonio, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Mei-Ling Truong, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Athens Drive wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 18-4 loss against Green Level on the 15th. As for Rolesville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 17-2 defeat against Willow Spring on the 15th.
