Basketball Recap: Iowa Comes Up Short

Iowa played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Archbishop Rummel Raiders, falling 66-41. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Raiders are ranked 27th).

TJ Duhe was his usual excellent self, going 6-for-13 on his way to 20 points in addition to five assists and five boards for Archbishop Rummel. The match was Duhe's fifth in a row with at least 16 points. Jackson Cosentino was another key player, going 6-for-9 en route to 15 points and six rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Iowa and nudges their season record down to 22-17. As for Archbishop Rummel, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-10.

As of now, neither Iowa nor Archbishop Rummel have any future games scheduled.
