Recap: Bloomfield Warhawks vs. East Hartford Hornets
Even though the East Hartford Hornets scored an imposing 67 points on Wednesday, the Bloomfield Warhawks still came out on top. Bloomfield took their contest against East Hartford 75-67. The score was all tied up 27-27 at the break, but Bloomfield was the better team in the second half.
Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josh Ikechukwu, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ikechukwu has scored all season. Justin Victorin was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
The victory got Bloomfield back to even at 7-7. As for East Hartford, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bloomfield will take on Newington at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Newington knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 matchups -- so hopefully Bloomfield likes a good challenge. As for East Hartford, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Farmington at 6:45 p.m. on February 10th. Hopefully East Hartford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday.
