Perry County Central let Taylan Hoskins and Ashlyn Dixon run wild. Hoskins went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Dixon got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Dixon continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Alyssa Dixon was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Perry County Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Leslie County only posted an OBP of .125.
Meanwhile, Estill County entered their tilt with Garrard County on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Golden Lions with a sharp 14-4 victory. The Engineers are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the fourth contest they've won by 6+ runs this season.
Callee Snowden was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Ferrell, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
Estill County's record now sits at 6-3. As for Perry County Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Perry County Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .408. However, it's not like Estill County struggles in that department as they've averaged .366. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Perry County Central took their win against Estill County when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 13-3.
