On Saturday, Pender faced North Bend Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Pender Pendragons managed a 47-42 win over the North Bend Central Tigers. Winning may never get old, but the Pendragons sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Pender's victory bumped their record up to 21-2. As for North Bend Central, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pender will challenge Guardian Angels Central Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Guardian Angels Central Catholic is on a six-game streak of home wins, Pender a 15-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
