The home team had come away the winner the last five times Twentynine Palms and Cathedral City had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Twentynine Palms Wildcats blew past the Cathedral City Lions 13-5 on Monday. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Jandell Jiminez was a standout: he scored four runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. He is also on a roll when it comes to RBI, as he's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Mauricio Montada also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Twentynine Palms kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Twentynine Palms' win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Cathedral City, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
