Soccer Game Preview: Plano vs. Princeton

The Plano Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the Princeton Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Plano didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-13-2), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Allen by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The result kept Plano happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 2nd.

Meanwhile, Princeton entered their tilt with Rock Hill on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Blue Hawks a 3-0 shutout. Considering Princeton have won three matchups by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Plano's win bumped their record up to 7-1-1. As for Princeton, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2-2.

Plano was able to grind out a solid win over Princeton in their previous meeting back in February of 2025, winning 2-0. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
