O'Connor won the last time they faced Mountain Ridge and things went their way on Wednesday too. The O'Connor Eagles strolled past the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions with points to spare, taking the game 80-65. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Mountain Lions are ranked 111th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Mountain Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaiden Thompson, who posted 19 points and five boards. Jagger Cockrell was another key player, putting up 11 points and eight rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for O'Connor and bumps their season record up to 17-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points over those games. As for Mountain Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.

As of now, neither O'Connor nor Mountain Ridge have any future games scheduled.
