Volleyball Recap: Elk Grove Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Sheldon on Tuesday, Elk Grove came back down to earth. The Thundering Herd took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack on Thursday. The Thundering Herd were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolfpack earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

While Elk Grove had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-20, 20-25, 25-19.

Elk Grove's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Cosumnes Oaks, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 13-17.

Looking ahead, Elk Grove will take on Monterey Trail at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Thundering Herd are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Cosumnes Oaks, they will square off against Laguna Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
