Basketball Game Preview: Hamilton County Foxes vs. Flora Wolves

The Hamilton County Foxes are taking a road trip to square off against the Flora Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Flora took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Hamilton County, who comes in off a win.

Last Wednesday, Hamilton County didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Vandalia, but they still walked away with a 63-58 win.

Meanwhile, Flora's game on Tuesday was all tied up 19-19 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Woodlawn. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 470th, while the Cardinals are ranked 221st).

Hamilton County's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. As for Flora, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Hamilton County suffered a grim 53-31 defeat to Flora in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Hamilton County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
