Basketball Recap: Mission Veterans Memorial Comes Up Short

Mission Veterans Memorial lost against Mission back in November and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots took a 55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mission Eagles. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mission got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jared Castro out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Leon Villarreal, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards.

Mission Veterans Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Mission, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.

Mission Veterans Memorial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 96-33 defeat against Nixon on the 13th. As for Mission, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 75-30 win against Juarez-Lincoln on the 13th.
