Softball Recap: Alisal Has No Trouble Against Monte Vista Christian

Alisal never let their opponents score on Monday. Everything went their way against the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs as Alisal made off with a 12-0 victory. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Trojans this season.

The team relied heavily on Jasmine Estrada, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Jaz Rubio also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Estrada wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Alisal kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive contests.

Alisal is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. With the loss, Monte Vista Christian broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Alisal will square off against rival Stevenson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Monte Vista Christian is set to face off against their familiar foe Rancho San Juan at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
