Baseball Recap: Blacklick Valley Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Blacklick Valley can now relate to. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Homer-Center Wildcats on Friday. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 4-1 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in May of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Blacklick Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Homer-Center, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Blacklick Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Homer-Center, they have already played their next contest, a 6-5 victory against Juniata Valley on the 29th.
