Baseball Game Preview: North Clarion Wolves vs. Moniteau Warriors

North Clarion hasn't had much luck against Moniteau recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wolves will face off against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

North Clarion fell victim to Oil City and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Oilers, falling 7-0.

Meanwhile, Moniteau suffered their closest defeat since March 24th on Monday. They fell just short of Redbank Valley by a score of 3-1.

Dawson Cook spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Moniteau saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ian Ross, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.

North Clarion's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Moniteau, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

North Clarion might still be hurting after the 12-0 loss they got from Moniteau in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
