Football Recap: Delhi Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Delhi extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They took a 20-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Le Grand Bulldogs. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

As for Le Grand, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.3 points over those games.

Le Grand found their leader in freshman Thomas Benting, who rushed for 109 yards and one touchdown. Benting's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards. Blake Lua got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Delhi is set to face off against their familiar foe Stone Ridge Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Le Grand will square off against rival Waterford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
