Soccer Game Preview: Spring Hill vs. Carthage

The Spring Hill Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Carthage Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carthage took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Spring Hill, who comes in off a win.

Spring Hill will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Sabine on Friday. The Panthers never let the Cardinals get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The victory continues a trend for Spring Hill in their matchups with Sabine: they've now won nine in a row.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Friday. Carthage lost 13-0 to Kilgore. Carthage has struggled against Kilgore recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Spring Hill's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Carthage, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11-1.

Spring Hill got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in January against Carthage by a conclusive 5-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
