Recap: Jackson-Milton Bluejays vs. Western Reserve Blue Devils
The Jackson-Milton Bluejays were the 22-21 winner over the Western Reserve Blue Devils when they last played one another back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The match between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Jackson-Milton falling 22-7. It was the first time this season that they let down their fans at home.
Western Reserve was led to victory by Luke Henning and Jack Darney. Henning threw for 78 yards and two touchdowns, while Darney gained 114 total yards and a touchdown. Darney is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played.
Jackson-Milton's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Western Reserve, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson-Milton will take on Mineral Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mineral Ridge is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Western Reserve, they will be playing in front of their home fans against David Anderson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
