Soccer Game Preview: Olympic vs. North Mason

The Olympic Trojans will challenge the North Mason Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Olympic came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 7-1 to Bainbridge. Olympic have struggled against Bainbridge recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, North Mason was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Port Angeles, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, North Mason can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 234th, while Port Angeles are ranked 104th).

North Mason's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Olympic, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6-2.

Olympic beat North Mason by a goal in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 2-1. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
