Baseball Recap: South Plaquemines Comes Up Short

South Plaquemines lost against Newman back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hurricanes lost 11-1 to the Greenies.

South Plaquemines saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevontae Williams, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

South Plaquemines has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for Newman, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-12.

Coming up, South Plaquemines will challenge Benjamin Franklin at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Newman, they will square off against L.W. Higgins at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
