Basketball Game Preview: Peoria Notre Dame Irish vs. Danville Vikings

Peoria Notre Dame and Danville are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Peoria Notre Dame Irish will be playing at home against the Danville Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Peoria Notre Dame is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Peoria Notre Dame ended up a good deal behind Manual and lost 50-33. While losing is never fun, the Irish can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 432nd, while the Rams are ranked 61st).

Meanwhile, Danville came up short against Urbana on Tuesday and fell 64-53. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Peoria Notre Dame's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Danville, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-10.

Peoria Notre Dame strolled past Danville when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 48-33. Does Peoria Notre Dame have another victory up their sleeve, or will Danville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
