Kent Denver waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Jefferson Academy Jaguars. Considering the Sun Devils have won five games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Joseph Covell made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Jack Wilson was a standout: he scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Vedder Yates, who scored a run while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

Kent Denver was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Kent Denver's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.1 runs over those games. As for Jefferson Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Kent Denver will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Jaguars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
