Belchertown came tearing into Wednesday's contest with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Frontier Regional Red Hawks by a score of 6-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Ian McDonald was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Ferguson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Belchertown's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Frontier Regional, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8.
