Recap: Clay County Bulldogs vs. Jellico Blue Devils
The Clay County Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 83-66 victory over Jellico. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Jellico lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being John Zecchini, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Zecchini continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Isaac Mcnealy was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Even though they lost, Jellico smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The win made it two in a row for Clay County and bumps their season record up to 9-10. As for Jellico, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-10.
Clay County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jellico also has no future games currently scheduled.
