Sunapee won against Newport on Wednesday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Lakers beat the Tigers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 13-1. Considering the Lakers have won six matches by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Sunapee and bumps their season record up to 8-10. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Newport, their loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-18.

Sunapee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newport, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-4 defeat against Hinsdale on the 29th.
