Baseball Recap: Moss Point Takes a Loss

Moss Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 11-0 to the Poplarville Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, with their most recent defeat being a 9-4 loss on Friday.

Moss Point's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Poplarville, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moss Point will head out to square off against Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Poplarville, they will venture away from home to take on Greene County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
