Basketball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 47-24 to the Andress Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Silver Foxes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1177th, while the Eagles are ranked 254th).

When it comes to explaining why Jefferson lost, don't look at David Luna. Despite the final result, he posted six points.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-23. As for Andress, their victory bumped their record up to 18-11.

Jefferson will head out to challenge Burges at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson is facing Burges at the right time seeing as Burges is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Andress has already played their next game (against Canutillo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
