Prairie's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They put the hurt on the Lapwai Wildcats with a sharp 42-7 victory. That 35-run margin sets a new team best for the Pirates this season.

Zoey Behler was a standout: she got on base in six of her seven plate appearances with six runs, four RBI, and one triple. What's more, she posted two hits, the most she's had over her last 11 contests. Catherine Seubert was another key player, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with six runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Prairie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .767. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

With the win, Prairie broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-12. As for Lapwai, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Prairie didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 17-10 defeat against Clearwater Valley on the 28th. As for Lapwai, they will face off against Potlatch at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Loggers have averaged an impressive 13.2 runs per game this season.
