Football Recap: Clinton Prairie Takes a Loss

Clinton Prairie lost against Carroll back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Gophers were beaten by the Cougars 51-12. The Gophers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-6.

Several Gophers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alex King, who picked up 74 receiving yards and one TD, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground.

This is the second loss in a row for Clinton Prairie and nudges their season record down to 3-4. As for Carroll, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Clinton Prairie will square off against rival Eastern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Carroll is set to challenge their familiar foe Sheridan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
