Softball Recap: Larkin Takes a Loss

Larkin and Bartlett pushed the score to 20-6 the last time they played Bartlett, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Royals fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 2-1. The loss continues a trend for the Royals in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost eight in a row.

Larkin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ali Herrick, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Larkin's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Bartlett, their win bumped their record up to 11-16.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Larkin is set to challenge their familiar foe West Aurora at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bartlett will take on rival South Elgin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
